Motorola hosted a conference spotlighting the use of alternative energy for remote and “off the grid” RF sites. Vic Garmong, President of Pepro, was invited to deliver a presentation that outlined some of the obstacles involved in deploying remote and “off the grid” sites.
Pepro took its latest cell-on-wheels (COWS) the Commander 650LP on an introduction tour. It was received with great enthusiasm at all of the demonstrations.

City of Miami Fire-Rescue accepts Pepro Commander SMRS-850 Cell on Wheels (COWS) to be used in restoring communications after natural or man-made disasters.
On February 14, 2008 the Lake Co. accepted their Pepro Commander SMRS after it was returned from receiving factory upgrades. Pepro officials were on hand for on site training.
